More Recipe Boxes - I have to start cooking and blogging again!

It's been way too long since I sat down and posted.  You should know that I haven't stopped eating (ha!) I just stopped blogging and to some degree, I even stopped cooking.  But I haven't stopped my pursuit of my families recipe boxes (or cook books or file folders or 3-ring binders ). In the time I have been away, I have collected even more recipe boxes.  Am I becoming a recipe hoarder?  Perhaps.  Is there such a thing or will I be the first? Over the last 18+ months, my aunt passed away and I received my Grandmother's (my dad's mom) recipe boxes, my parents sold their home and I now have even more of my Grandma's recipes and my mom has given me several of her recipe books and boxes. So many recipes, so little time!

This picture is an old "Hallmark" recipe file.  It's mostly full of recipes she cut out of the newspaper.  There are 100's of them.  Based on the dates, I don't know that she prepared many of these, probably just that wishful thinking about "someday I'll have time to make this".

The Holiday's are always a time of reflection and wandering through the boxes has rekindled the desire to get back to what I started quite some time ago. So,  I am going to turn up the heat in the kitchen, fire up the camera and get back to sharing some recipes.

PS - while I have been away, I have probably baked 100's of dozens of cookies for my husband's baseball players - they call me "Mama Bear" and I can make the worst cookies in the world and they will devour them!   Gotta love those boys!

To those who have stopped by and left comments over the last several months - Thanks for stopping by and leaving a note! I see a few people have enjoyed a few of the recipes posted.

I also am taking note that since I have been away there are all these new things about blogging that I need to learn again. We'll see how it goes.
